Leisurely hikes or high-Alpine tours? Guided walks or adventures on your own? One thing’s for sure: The trails around Avelina guarantee a whole lot of mountain joy. They’re all well-groomed and marked. And best of all: many tours start right outside the hotel. Countless hiking paths await you also at Meran 2000, the sun-kissed hiking area near Hafling. From leisurely family hikes to ambitious mountain tours, everything’s possible there. The largest cable car in South Tyrol will take you comfortably and in just a few minutes to the high plateau. We personally love the fantastic 360-degree panoramic view, which includes the Dolomites, Val Venosta/Vinschgau valley, all the way to the Gruppo di Tessa/Texelgruppe. We always recommend stopping at one of the many rustic mountain huts and trying their traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. Your holiday in Meran and Environs will be both exciting and tasty!
Bike holiday in Meran and Environs
Hop on your bike and set off! Some wonderful bike tours along forest and mountain trails start right outside our hotel and offer fantastic views. We personally take every chance to enjoy a fun ride – and we’re always happy to share our favourite tours with our guests. We recommend mountain bike tours on the high plateau around the Hafling-Vöran-Meran 2000 area, which offer various access points and stages for every skill level. There are also many other cycling routes throughout the region that are easy to reach from Avelina.

At Avelina, you’ll find our hotel’s own small e-bike rental with special rates. Additionally, there’s a larger rental service at the mountain station of the Meran 2000 cable car, as well as one in Meran.
